Whenever I try to add or remove a widget from the WPForo sidebar, I get the error: There was an Error. The response is not a valid Json response.

The WPforo sidebar is redundant with my existing right sidebar, and I just don't want it displayed. But right now it's holding my site hostage.

Solved this by removing WPForo and using a different forum plugin. And yes, I deactivated all other plugins first, and WPForo still wouldn't let me edit any sidebars. Don't have time for this.

Hi @steel-rat,

I'd recommend install Classic Widget plugin, and all will be ok.

Why would that be necessary?

@steel-rat,

It changes the widget management system, letting manage all widgets and sidebars very easy.
