Hi guys,

A note on this. I use Yoast SEO for my site and had optimized my homepage meta section with it.

Realized that when forum shortcode got embedded it also added some meta description [not as food as my custom one] and canonical link.

Might be good to not show it if it is embedded on other pages like homepage.

I took it out and decided to do so also to avoid duplicate content. Was not so sure if setting the forum page with yoast to point canonical is homepage would be a good idea, considering it's the root for all forum generated URLs of content pages.

Would be nice though to have the option to set the forum on the homepage. Without changing the way WP is set, just making forums page the homepage.

Please don't use shortcode on home page. We don't support shorcodes on home page. If you want to set wpForo on home page please follow to this instruction:

https://wpforo.com/docs/root/getting-started/forum-page/set-forum-on-home-page/

Also please don't use "Turn WordPress to wpForo" option in wpForo settings, this will stop your website front-end. Only forum will be available.

@robert  - a bit of a contradiction as the link IS instructions to place shortcode on homepage I set in WP [exactly as described in that page you mention, and meta was duplicated]!
