wpForo 1.x.x [Closed] Error messages

I'm getting error messages as shown in the attachment, so far only when replying to one persons post. Something about:

illegal string offset 'userid'

and...

cannot modify header information

Please advise and help on what is causing this and how to fix.

What kind of PHP version do you run under ?

So it is not from an old PHP version. The other instance that can happen is if you edited some php file and inserted by mistake "white space". Could that be the cause ? Have you modified any php files ?

Okay, I'm working on this but one other thing possibly related. I've noted when people sign up and I go into the wordpress user profile to ugrade them to a contributor for the wordpress side of things it won't let me because it says:

Your Nickname must be different than your login name. Please choose a different Nickname
