hi. i've been through the process described here (closed topic now) and i think i got everything right except that for some reason, FB does not accept my privacy policy url, which is this : https://cruis-citoyen.fr/mentions-legales/ – FB says it yielded an error code on response... the URL is legit though.
and when i try the FB login button in wpForo, i get to login to FB, and then this error message : "Application not configured: This application is currently under development, and you cannot access it. Use an authorized test user account or speak to an application administrator to obtain access." (translated by google).
any idea what the problem might be?

I'm sorry but this does not have any relation to the wpForo.

It will be better if you contact with Facebook support and let them know about the issue.
