Is it possible to add some set of fake views to the count .. like 40+ of the original views ..

You can update in database wp_wpforo_topics tables > "views" fields manually or using this SQL. Use your Hosting cPanle > phpMyAdmin database manager. After updating please remember to delete wpForo cache in Dashboard > Forums > Dashboard admin page.
