Hello, we are in 2021 and I have the same problem, I have a .po file perfectly translated into Fr, I compile it in .mo, it does not work, I see that we can use an XML! but how or with what software can I do this? because I only know how to export in HTML.
PS: I use potEdit sofware

@alama

add your files "wpforo-fr_FR.mo" and "wpforo-fr_FR.po" to the
wpForo / languages
and also
wp-content / languages / plugins
folder

i also use poedit for german language and everything is translated correctly

@tutrix, hello, yes, but I already have these files in this place, my wpforo is in French, but there are some words and sentences not translated even though the .po is 100% translated and the .mo too.
Finally, I finished the translation using the original "phrase (sentence)" tool in the wpforo admin menu and it worked fine 🙂

PS: Your forum is nice! You use a big footer lol the forum is tuned in A&Q ? no?
Yes, poedit is good.

@alama

Download current version of wpForo to your PC
open wpforo-fr_FR.po inside the downloaded folder with poedit
click on "Update from Source"
missing language strings are updated 😉
