Hello, this site already has a default avatar that is set via Settings>Discussion>Avatars. This is used for a professional directory if someone doesn't upload an image. The avatar isn't ideal for our community which is for professionals and non-professionals. How can I set a default avatar just for the community and retain the existing?

Thanks!

Hi,

Setting the avatar is in the core WordPress settings, which can be managed in the Dashboard > Settings > Discussion admin page.

Alternatively, you can use a different plugin for this purpose.

In the following topic is discussed the same question and it may provide useful information: https://wpforo.com/community/how-to-and-troubleshooting-2/how-do-i-set-default-avatar-for-profiles/

Hi- yes, we already have a default avatar via this path. My issue is that we don't want that avatar used for the forum. The existing default avatar is designed for use with professionals in a directory.

What I'm looking for is the ability to direct wpForo to a separate default avatar. Is this an option?

Thanks

We're really sorry, but there is not an easy solution we can share here.

I'd suggest you purchase pro support and ask for customization: https://wpforo.com/pro-support/#plugin-support

Okay.

Maybe this would be a good feature request for the next version.
