Hi @central4allgmail-com,

You don't need to change the theme or deactivate any plugin. You just need to make sure the old addons are deactivated, you should not use old addons with current wpForo version. Also, if you have customized forum template files in your active WordPress theme you should update them.

So, let's try again. Deactivate all old wpForo addons as it says in the update notes, check the active theme, make sure there is no customized forum template file, and update.

Once updated, delete all caches, purge CDN, then go to forum home page and press Ctrl+F5 twice to reset your browser cache. That's it.

@central4allgmail-com,

Please update to the just released 1.8.2 version, then delete all caches and test it again. Make sure you don't have old addon installed.

@central4allgmail-com,

I don't think you need to keep the migration tool activated. Just update to 1.8.2, delete all caches, go to forum home page and press Ctrl+F5 to reset browser cache. After this all should work fine.
