I have two questions.
1) BuddyPress
I have it installed but when I go to profile it automatically just goes to WPForo. Can you help me out with this?
2) Icons
This is somewhat of a nitpick. But I'd like to change the icons from the defaults, like New, Locked, Replied, Hot, etc to at least other FA icons or to my own icons if possible. Any idea how?

This is /profile/ URL part conflict, both use the same phrase. As far as I know BuddyPress has an option to change root path of profile URLs. You should change it to other phrase.
