We have a lot of creative projects running, where we invite guest members to work on. 

Creating a different secondary user group feels overkill, and would like to assign users directly to a forum.

Is this possible?

For now, there is no possibility to link the individual users with the forums. The only way of linking users with the forum is via usergroup.
