IS it a permission issue? The pages can't be found. Surely if it were a permission issue the message would be something like 'you do not have permission...'?

Okay, Sussed it!
When I originally added Foro to my site I was wanting to add a link to another plugin (Private Messages) so that users can click the members profile and see a link to click to PM the user. I had created a folder in my child theme for the Foro profile which obviously would stay the same when Foro is updated. Now, when Foro received an update (which obviously included a fundamental change to the profile.php file) the child profile.php caused the break. I have removed the wpforo/profile.php from my child theme and it now works again 🙂
I will keep the Foro plugin unchanged now (no more child tweaks) and i will purchase your Foro Private message addon.
