W3TC is highly problematic, trust me. I was working for a hosting company for years, and we had to actually BAN W3TC from all WP servers due to problems. We needed to spend a lot of time to fix it, so not worth it. What to mention .... thousands of created files due to db and object caching causing out of inodes (file) in servers ? Many many problems.
Right now the only cache i trust is Comet Cache lite. Just installs and runs and you can sleep at night.
