The group a new member is attached to can pass moderation and even tho, They still awaits moderation It used to work but no more. Even inside of spam tool ive set the default to 0. all tho it clearly says this feature will be overriding if the user group can pass moderation.
What can I do? I got akismet installed and JepPack

Have you tried to disable wpForo Spam Control in Dashboard > Forums > Tools admin page?
