I've just updated to version 1.7.0 and I'm seeing some issues.

1. The rich text bar is missing for new posts and replies.

2. The new post textarea is half the width it used to be, half the width of everything else in the box (see attachment).

3. The reply textarea has a spinning ball in it all the time and it's missing its text box.  You can, however, add text to that area and it will submit and post a reply (see attachment).

What should I do?  Thanks!

I applied this filter about a month ago and it solved my fonticons issue:   https://wpforo.com/community/how-to-and-troubleshooting-2/missing-font-awesome-icons-2/

Could that be a problem?  This is for traildamage.com.  Thanks!

Not sure if related, still your WHOLE site suffers from this:

(and caching enabled..... not good ... no caching plugin works right.....)

I rolled back to 1.6.5 and the spinning ball went away but I still didn't have rich text icons.  And that broke Private Messages and Embeds because they depended on 1.7.  I don't have time to mess with it until tomorrow, most likely.  @central4allgmail-com it's good to know someone else is seeing the same thing, thanks for posting!

Caching doesn't seem to have anything to do with it, FYI.

@glowball

You have nothing to wait. All problems come from your site not from the update. So don't roll back to 1.6.5. If so you'll always you that version.

1. Please remove the code you've added in your functions.php for the editor.

2. Delete all caches and let us check it. Leave s direct URL to your forum.

@robert I removed that bit of code I had added and tried a few pages with 1.7 after clearing caches.  I didn't see any differences.  If you go to traildamage.com you can log in with your account I set up for the other thread (let me know if you don't have that anymore or if you even need it).

Side note, a member told me that the icons went away about a couple of weeks ago and the textarea box has been half width about as long.  I know those two symptoms were not there when I was working on the other issue on December 31st.  I keep wpForo up to date, so that should pin down when I had a healthy version (was that 1.6.5?).  The spinning ball showed up with this 1.7 release, most definitely.

I set up Sucuri with their server-based firewall and plugin on January 1st so I've contacted them to figure out the best way to temporarily disable things to do some testing.  I'll update this thread when I have more info about that.  Thanks all!

Thank you @glowball,

I'm sorry, but we still can't access to your forum. We can't find any login details.

I went through all changes I've made in the last month and disabled them one by one, and I found the issue.  The wpForo forms are not playing nicely with the Async JavaScript plugin.  I tried all of the settings it has (basically async and defer) and even told it to ignore wpForo, but the only thing that fixes my forum is to turn it completely off.  It gave me a bit of a speed boost so I'm not thrilled with turning it off, but it fixed the issues I was seeing.  Hopefully that helps someone else.

@central4allgmail-com the Internet is a small world.  I just went over to the support forum for Async JavaScript and was happy to find someone else has the same conflicting plugins, and it was you!  https://wordpress.org/support/topic/brakes-the-wpforo/

Did you find a way to use both plugins?  I'm seeing the same thing in a few browsers so I'm not sure it's isolated to Chrome.
