Hi, I'm relatively new to WP so this should be a simple fix but I've tried lots of troubleshooting suggestions and none have worked.

Only the forum main page is working, after shortcoding the [wpforo] into a page the forum appears but as soon as I click on any of the links it says 'cant find what you're looking for' e.g. register, sign-up, members etc. And the same happens if I click on a topic.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the plug-in. Tried resetting the permalinks on the forum plug-in. set the permalink in settings to page name. turned off all the other plug-ins to see if any were making it stop working. tried to put the shortcode for each page into a new page. None of which have worked.

Feel like it should be simple as I'm a beginner but I'm out of ideas.

TIA!

Hi,

Please follow the steps below:

1. Uninstall the wpForo plugin.

2. Search for and install wpForo again and activate it.

3. Once the installation and activation are complete, navigate to the /community/ page to find your forums. There's no need to add any additional shortcodes.

After completing these steps, clear all caches and check if the issue persists.

If the problem still exists, please let us know. Please don't deactivate the wpForo plugin so we can check the issue directly.

Hi, @sofy thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, this hasn't worked. Any other suggestions?

@charsten

Could you please let us know how the forum was created? Did you use any page-builder plugin?

If so, please edit the page, remove the existing content, and try adding the [wpforo] shortcode manually.

I’ve used Kadence as a theme and block builder. Then I just used the shortcode block to put the [wpforo] in. Everything else is unchanged from default.

If so, please edit the page, remove the existing content, and try adding the [wpforo] shortcode manually.

Have you tried this step?

I've managed to fix it by using the stock page that wpforo creates rather than my own and then using the shortcode.
