I understand the functionality to password protect a topic is not currently available (hopefully this will be!).

Can anyone suggest a workaround?

I have a general forum with several threads, but one of which we only want available to certain users.

Thanks in advance.

Mike

Password protection is a blog feature, not a forum. I hope you're talking about Private Topics. Currently wpForo has Private Forum option, you just need to set "No Access" permission to all usergroups excerpt topic users usergroup.

I'm sorry but I have no ETA yet for private topics. We're still working on "Private Topic" feature. Currently you can move all topics (which should be private) in a Private Forum and keep those private.

Hi Robert - Thanks for your reply. Meenakshi, thanks for the up-vote.

Just so we're on the same page, here is my forum set-up to date:
http://www.bodycoachcanada.com/community/

'Main Coaching Thread' (third from the top) is what I'd like to give private access to (for paying clients. I've seen this on many forums, i.e. you click on the topic and it reads 'for paying members only, click here to join' or something to that effect.

Is this possible? I'd be willing to pay for a feature like this (read as, up-sell request 😉 ).

I'm sorry but this is not possible with current wpForo version. There is no membership options yet. I'll add it in our to-do list.
