Operation is as follow

1) create a forum whose title in double-byte characters (Japanese), the forum is created.

2) Open the forum where you see following issues.

Issue-1:  No ' Add topic' button

Issue-2:   (No forums were found here. )

I can not create topics in the forum ....  If change the title to single-byte characters e.g. 'test forum', it works fine. I think that this is not a translation issue, rather focusing on globalization matter as basic design concept of software.

I really appreciate the software update.

Takeo

Hi takeoy,

thank you for letting us know, could you please let us know where we can get/copy double-byte characters (Japanese) to test?

Here is an example of wpForo usage with armenian forum and topic names: http://it-blog.am/community/

As far as I know armenian chars are even 4-bytes. I'm not sure this is byte issue, but we'll check it once you give some example of 2-bytes UTF8 encoded text for tests.

Here is a title example encoded to UTF8

%E8%A9%A6%E9%A8%93

You may see a test site of   http://test.revows.biz  where there is forum page.

I add a test forum whose title is Japanese next to Main Forum. please open the forum so you can see the problem.  On the other hand, Main Forum is working correctly on the same page.

I appreciate your investigation.
