Thanks for your suggestion, but I already have another security plugin (Wordfence), I'm not sure I want to install another one.
Of cource not. No two security plugins. Just wanted to post what helped me from spam bots and brute force logins.

Still, you could try my suggestion, since it seems Wordfence doesn't work right for you.
