and, https://www.aroundwoodstockvermont.com/community-forums/ will display a page that does not correspond with the page in WP. That page does not contain the WPForo shortcode, yet it displays the forum.

I appreciate all the suggestions from WPForo and various WPForo users, including Elementor support and many YouTube videos offering solutions to this problem. However, none worked for me. So rather than beat my head on the WP wall for another week, I decided to delete the offending page and re-create it. So far, the problem has not re-occurred. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed.
