The post previews on the Recent Posts page is blank when the post starts with or only contains a link, image, or embedded object. See the links to screenshots below for an example. In the case of a link, I think I would prefer to just see the text of the URL without the a tag, but I'm not married to that thought. In the case of an image or embed, I'm thinking maybe just show >>image<< or something like that. Anyway, just some thoughts so that users can see that there truly is something in there, not just a blank post. 🙂

I suspect that this issue also applies to Extended Layout.
We are aware about this issue. We plan to display post title when content is empty.
