I think this would be more of a UX issue -Β after the first registration page a user is take to a page where he can edit his profile. Here I have 2 questions :
1. Can I disable the redirection to profile page and direct the user back to the page where he started from?
2.Β Even if we keep the profile information page, then after saving changes, user is not redirected anywhere. Here can I redirect the user either to the main forum page or the page where he came from? From eg if he was trying to answer a question, then take the user to back to the same question page.Β

The referrer of all registrations is registration page, so it's not possible to redirect them to registration page again. wpForo doesn't have options to manage redirections.

This is a good idea, we'll add it in our to-do list of next month.
Thank you so much. Really appreciate! π
Just another insight : there can also be an option for the admin to enable orΒ disable this - that whether after registration user is taken to the forum/original Page or the Profile Edit page. Would help registration process move faster, make users start topics faster. Profile pages can be filled by users whenever they want.
Building on this admins can also have control over what profile fields to display & when. But then desires are endless ^_^
