Hi,

is it possible to replace the integrate buttons with for example providet share buttons by an shortcode or anything else?
I would like to archive to replace it with the sharebuttons from shariff.

Why? Shariff implnts the share buttons fully GDPR complient.

Kind regards,

Ole

Solved: Firtst I tried to place the shariff shorttcode via do_sortcode in the template.

That works, but only for the forum page.

Now I put the shariff widget in the wpforo sidebar. There it works for Topics and all forum stuff as well.

@olpo24 I don't think ANY Share plugin for Wordpress works with wpForo.

They always point to the home page.

You will have to use the wpForo build-in share options.

@dimalifragis as I wrote. With placing the shariff wigdet in the wpforo sidebar, it points not only on to the forum homepage

@dimalifragis,

Share plugins are dynamic and smart. They use the current address of a web page to share it, they don't look deeper, that's why they work fine.

Not if you put it on the wpForo shortcode page. While in a widget seems to work for some plugins, like Shariff.

@dimalifragis,

Maybe there are such cases, but in most cases the location doesn't matter. Share plugins work based on JS functions. JS functions don't see PHP variables and current page ID. They just get current page URL and do their job.

@martin Well until now most share plugins didn't work as a shortcode in wpForo page.

I have never imagined that as a widget it could work and i'm gratefull to the guy here who posted that information.

@martin Fist I tried to put shariff via do_shortcode in the original possition in wpforo template, this doesn't work. the share link was always domain.de/forum (slug of the page where the wpforo shortcode is)
