Hi, I would like to report bug, this should be really high concern.
First, I do not have any plugins for membership / managing user account.
Here's the big problem, on My Profile > Account, here you can change your password account, and the problem came from here. Try to change the password and click save, after that, you will be logged out, and you can't login anymore, because either your old and new password is not accepted, and or the WPForo is saving different password when you click save.
The way to fix this problem is by changing your password through MySQL/phpMyAdmin.

And please note, even if you are [Administrator], after you able to manage your password through the MySQL/phpMyAdmin. When you success logged in, you won't be able to access your Backend Dashboard and will be redirected to WPForo forum / dashboard.
To solve it, change the folder name of the plugin from wpforo to something else such wpforoXXXX. And then, afterwards rename it again to wpforo.
These 2 problems must become big concern, thanks.

The problem in changing password, it doesn't change, so if you can't loggin just try your old password until we fix this problem in next version.
