Is there a way to show topics only when searching a wpforo? 

It gets very confusing when all posts are shown as topics...

Hi Tobyone,

I suggest you choose the "Search Titles Only" value for the "Search Type" filter. 

wpForo search system also allows to filter it by date period, search in the specific forum, etc. Please check out those search types.
