We use Yoast SEO for our site (GreenApple.md), which allows us to customize the keywords and description for each page and blog post.  Is it possible to define keywords and descriptions for forum posts, for example,  https://www.greenapple.md/forums/rsho-blue-label/is-cbd-legal-in-all-50-states/

If not, the follow-up question would be, can I define keywords and keyword descriptions for the sub-forum page  https://www.greenapple.md/forums/rsho-blue-label/

Any additional SEO tips for improving our search presence would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

All wpForo pages are loaded under the same one Wordpress page, so SEO plugins see forum as one page, they can't control SEO for wpForo pages. This is the reason why wpForo has own SEO system. It generates different meta data for each category, forum, subforum, topic, etc... It makes wpForo SEO friendly.

You can set different Meta Description in Forum and subForum edit screen, but not Meta Keywords. Today, it’s pretty clear the meta keyword tag is dead in terms of SEO value. Sure, it might have value for contextual ad systems or serve as a signal to bots plying the web looking for topics to target, but as far as search goes, that tag flat lined years ago as a booster.

Actually SEO Framework does control SEO for wpForo very well.

Example:

<meta name="robots" content="noydir" />
<meta name="description" content="How To Plan For A Serengeti Safari? on Travel-World.eu" />
<meta property="og:image" content="" />
<meta property="og:locale" content="en_US" />
<meta property="og:type" content="website" />
<meta property="og:title" content="How To Plan For A Serengeti Safari? | Travel-World.eu" />
<meta property="og:url" content=" https://www.travel-world.eu/community/africa/how-to-plan-for-a-serengeti-safari/ " />
<meta property="og:site_name" content="Travel-World.eu" />
<link rel="canonical" href=" https://www.travel-world.eu/community/africa/how-to-plan-for-a-serengeti-safari/ "

Thanks for posting this, Anonymous20! I just switched over to SEO Framework, and yes, it works beautifully.
