I'm getting a 404page containing my main forum. Apparently the "community" page cannot have any child-page

I have been comparing this website, and I have noticed that the owner has been able to have separate forums on different page, each one with their own slug. As soon as you click on a post you do get redirected to the main forum, but those pages are assigned to Forum as parent-page. How come I cannot?

I'm sorry but I don't follow you. I can't see what do you mean saying parent page and so on... I just can say that wpForo is the same on all websites. wpForo has Categories (top level forum), Forums and subForums. You can use Category ID in shortcode to load all forums in this category and so on... And finely all will be redirected to the main forum page, it doesn't matter you use category, forum or subforum.
