Hi @alephnull,

Yes, this is in our to-do list, but we haven't released it yet. This shortcode will be added in near future releases.

Hi Sofy,

Thanks for your reply!

I received the following notification email to your reply on the forum here:

"Hi AlephNull! You have been mentioned in a post on "Short Code for Reply Author in Email?" by Sofy.

Post URL: https://wpforo.com/community/how-to-and-troubleshooting-2/short-code-for-reply-author-in-email-2/#post-25625 "

Can you please tell me how you embedded the by "Sofy" in the email above?  Also, could you please tell me what the code is for the post url, as above?  [post_url] does not work for me.

Thanks much for your help!

Hi @alephnull,

The User Mention message body here is:

Hi [mentioned-user-name]!
You have been mentioned in a post on "[topic-title]" by [author-user-name].
Post URL: [post-url]

The shortcodes for each email messages are different.

Thanks much Sofy!  That solved the Mentioned Message body.  Much appreciate your help!

Still having a problem with the Reply Message Body.  This is what I am getting:

"Hi AlephNull! You have been mentioned in a post on "RE: Test #7" by [author-user-name]. Post URL: [post-url]"

The Reply Author/poster's name is not coming through.  The URL to the Reply/Post is not coming through either.  Your help appreciated!

Also, is there a way to insert line breaks in the message?  Nothing I have tried seems to work...

Thank you very much!

I discovered that <p> will cause a line break effect by forcing new paras in the email, so have that problem solved.  The author name and post/reply url still no luck...
