Hi everybody

For the last couple of weeks, we are facing issues with the red/green popups (the ones which are customized in Phrases). I'd be grateful if any help/info can be provided. There are 3 main issues:

(a) When a new user registers for the first time by submitting chosen username and email

In this scenario, after submitting the user is taken to the Forums page, but no message/popup is displayed currently. The user is created in wordpress, only the message for the user is not appearing. Earlier, the following message used to appear.

Green Box: "Thank you for registering! Please check your email to finish setting up your account."

(b) When the user tries to register for the 2nd time using the same username and email

Currently, in this case 2 popups are displayed simultaneously as in the below pic. (Since users are not receiving any messages as in case (a), they try to register again under the impression that the registration did not go through the first time due to some error, even though the user is created first time)

Red Box: "Email error: That email address has already been registered. Please log in with your credentials or
enter another email address to create an account."

Green Box: "Thank you for registering! Please check your email to finish setting up your account."

(c) When a new user clicks on the password creation link received in email

In this case, the user is taken to the page where user has to choose a desired password. When this page opens, a green success message is displayed as in the below pic. Not sure, but I feel there should not be any success message before the user has submitted their chosen password.

Green Box: "Thank you for registering! Please check your email to finish setting up your account."

Thanks a lot in advance for helping out.

Hi,

This situation may occur only if you're using the same browser and attempting to register multiple times, causing the messages to appear repeatedly from the browser cache. I've already requested the developers to investigate and optimize this issue, if feasible, in future versions of the wpForo plugin.
