for some reason the top of the forums are cutting into my title bar and cutting it off and i cant figure out why

try this

add to Forum custom css

.page-id-2734 .edgtf-title-holder.edgtf-standard-type.edgtf-title-va-header-bottom.edgtf-title-with-separator.edgtf-h2-title {
    height: 230px !important;
    margin-top: 40px;
}

with lots of customization & modification, e.g. hover cards, topic/post preview on mouseover, chatbox and much more...
