I have my forum setup to require that I moderate the first post of any new user. Someone signed up and then replied to a forum post from 9 months ago (which was recently migrated from xenForo to wpForo). Other users were reporting that the thread was showing up at the top of the Recent Posts page, with the Last Post being shown as 48 years ago (LOL). Once I approved the new post, the problem resolved itself.
