Hi WPForo,

Users are unable to attach PDFs in WPForo on my site even though they are part of the Registered usergroup, which, through Standard access, has the ability to upload files checked. I have searched through all of WPForo's settings, accesses, and usergroups without seeing anything about allowing PDF uploads. I ran into this problem a couple of years ago and had it solved through WPForo's Accesses and Usergroups pages, but those seem to have changed and now there is nowhere to see which file types are permitted for the usergroups. I have already tried checking the global setting on WP with the User Role Editor plugin, but there was no section for WPForo specifically.

Can you please direct me on how to allow users to upload PDFs in WPForo specifically? The documentation on User Role Editor is not helpful in this regard as I need to allow for WPForo in particular. When I corrected this in the past, I did NOT have to change any global settings, only WPForo ones. Thanks!

Hi @kthoven ,

Please go to wpForo > Settings > Spam Protection admin page. Locate the option labeled “Min number of posts to be able to attach a file or post links”. Set this value to 0 to allow all users, regardless of their post count, to attach files and post links.

By setting this option to 0, you remove the restriction that prevents users with fewer posts from attaching files, thereby enabling all registered users to upload PDFs and other permitted file types.

Bingo! That was it. Thank you so much. I never would have thought of that. Thanks for responding so quickly. Much appreciated!
