hi i looked everywhere and could not find the answer

i saw lots of people ask the same question but they figure it out on their own and i can't figure out why it happens.

as a member logs in and they navigate through the forum, they keep logging out and the forum disappears.  this does not happen when i am logged in as an admin.  i am sure its a simple setting but i can't figure it out

i grabbed a video of what is happening so it is easier for you to see

here is the link https://www.cad-ray.com/forologout/

i should add that i have membership pages going at the same time so there may be some conflict between logging into membership page account and forum account

Hi @cad-ray-armen,

This is a cache plugin conflict. So this problem doesn't come from wpForo. Please exclude forum page from "WP Fastest Cache" plugin you use. Just don't allow this plugin to cache forum pages. It has conflicts with wpForo and don't even show correct status of users. All Cache plugins should work for your website other pages, but not for forum page.

Please read this article and exude forum page, this will fix your problems:

https://www.wpfastestcache.com/features/exclude-page/

Don't forget delete all caches after that.

Having a similar variation on this problem:

 After users login and try to post or reply to a post, the forum asks them to login (again). Then when they click on <login> to log in, it automatically enables them to be logged in without asking for login information.  It keeps repeating this requirement to login every time user tries to post or reply to a post.

Three things happened over the last few days before this problem started: The site had become incredibly slow during the last few days and many pages would time out before they would appear.  Then (1) yesterday we discovered malware and removed malware and site was declared clear of any malware. Still the site was so slow that many pages would still time out.  So I did this:

(1)updated Wordpress and updated php. (3) removed unnecessary plugins - about half of plugins,  (3)Changed passwords and (4) removed all unnecessary old files, deleted tons of photos, and back ups that were sitting around.  Site speed improved.

Soon after, this new strange behavior happened that I'm asking you for help with -- that the site would act like you had to log in even when you were logged in but when you clicked <login> it would accept you if you clicked login without requiring login information. One gets the impression that although it is asking you to login, it knows you are already logged in.

@jeanne

Start by removing all those strange plugins or scripts like the one below:

Probably a caching plugin or script or an optimizer.

@anonymous20. Thank you!   I found a caching plugin that I hadn't realized was caching - wp optimizer and it looks like the problem corrected.
