I am trying to setup a forum for all the residents in my community. I do not want it public. I would like to verify that a user lives in my community before allowing them membership. Is it possible to get a users address during registration so I can verify before membership? Is there a membership plugin that is compatable that would suit my needs? Is it possible to make it public and restrict access unitil the admin throws a switch?
Hi,
Is it possible to get a users address during registration so I can verify before membership?
I'd suggest you check out the wpForo – User Custom Fields addon. It allows you to create custom Registration form with custom fields. More info here: https://gvectors.com/product/wpforo-user-custom-fields/
Is there a membership plugin that is compatable that would suit my needs?
wpForo has integration plugins with Membership plugins. You can check out the following paid addons:
- wpForo – MemberPress Integration
- wpForo – SureMembers Integration
- wpForo – Groups Plugin Integration
- wpForo – Paid Membership Pro Integration

You can configure this using the forum accesses. Please read this FAQ for more information on wpForo Usergroups, Forum Accesses, and WordPress User Roles: https://wpforo.com/community/faq/wordpress-user-roles-wpforo-usergroups-and-forum-accesses/#post-39664
Thank you very much.
