This is the default WordPress user registration logic, it sends password reset link via email.

Then there should be a way to send welcome message to new users please. I understand SB Welcome Email Editor wasn't able to send any email because email confirmation feature on wpForo was disabled.

I agree. This is a standard feature for forums.
