I don't know what effect it will have when I press that button. Please tell me what each button looks like.

Hi,

The phrasing in your case is incorrect. Please refer to the screenshot below for the correct versions.

Below is a detailed explanation of each button's functionality:

  • Delete All Caches: Deletes all types of caches in the forum.
  • Clean Up: Deletes topics that only have a Topic Title with no posts (including the first post).
  • Update Forums Statistic: Updates the information in the forum statistics section (footer).
  • Update Topics Statistic: Updates the information for the topic statistics (e.g., views, likes, etc.).
  • Rebuild Phrases: Rebuilds the phrases in the wpForo > Phrases section. If a phrase is missing, it will be automatically added when the button is clicked and the process is complete.
  • Delete Phrase Cache: Deletes the cache for phrases. If you change a phrase and don't see the changes reflected, use this button.
  • Rebuild Threads: If you change the category layout or make similar adjustments, click this button to rebuild the threads.

Hi,

Clearing the cache helps refresh the forum data. If the forum has been updated since your last visit, you will see the latest version of the forum.

@sofy What about the permalink buttons, what happens if you press those?

When you install the wpForo plugin, it reserves certain URLs, such as:

  • /community/
  • /participant/
  • /participants/
  • /sign-in/
  • /sign-up/
  • etc.

These URLs can be modified in the wpForo settings. The reserved URLs are stored in WordPress's rewrite_rules array.

The buttons provided in the settings are used to clear the rewrite_rules cache.

In some cases, the reserved URLs may not display correctly. To resolve this issue, you need to clear the rewrite_rules cache using the buttons to ensure the pages are displayed correctly.

@sofy This isnt what I mean Sofy, I mean can I fix the URLS, of old threads when I have changed the titles of them?

So the URL matches the new titles of a thread, not the old one.
