I am translating WPForo into Danish with "Loco Translate". Does anyone know where to put the files, so they will not be overwritten when next update? This is the default folder, but not sure if it works?

I have already translated the WPForo, by pressing "Edit" in Loco translate and then it has saved it in "AUTHOR". https://cl.ly/21b522
Does this mean I have to relocate the file to "CUSTOM" or should I copy the file and put the copy in "CUSTOM"? A bit confused after reading the guide you sent.
As I understant, it won't change, if I put it in "CUSTOM", but should I do this with the file itself or a copy of the file?
