I'm using the sidebar widget that shows a Forum Tree.  I'm happy with the look and structure, but I would like to include it on other places in my website and only show the tree from specific Forums.  In the widget settings there's a dropdown to select different forums, but it doesn't seem to populate any of the forums I have created.  How can I get it to display the categories from only the forums I want to select?

Please explain this using a screenshot.

BTW, wpForo widgets can be put in other sidebars to show them on other pages and posts. They are not only designed for wpForo Sidebar.

@robert Here is a screen shot: https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/video/23452010?key=0ebdf87a0a552754d6ca1907370ddebd and attached is a picture.

Basically when I try to adjust the widget to select the Forum of the "Seed Swap" (in my case) that isn't an option.  I want to be able to drop this widget like you said in other places throughout the site but not have the other forums shown, just the one I want to select, so in my case "Seed Swap".  I will eventually have other Forums listed beside just the "welcome" at the top so I don't want to have the FULL list shown all the time.  In some cases it makes sense but in others it would be really helpful to filter down to the Forum I want. Thanks.

Thank you for the screenshot, but again I cannot follow you. As far as I understand the forum widget doesn't shows all forms on other pages... is this correct? So you don't see all forums on other pages? Can you should the difference and the problem on the screenshot. I only see a normal forum widget on the screenshot, it says nothing to understand your problem.

@robert I don't want ALL forums shown. I only want the Seed Swap forums to be shown.  Seed Swap is the Parent Forum, and all the zones are sub forums.  So I would expect that when I put a widget somewhere (anywhere) I could select which forum to show and thus subforums.  For example if I have a Dogs and a Cats main parent forums and have a variety of subforums listed underneath, I may have a Cats section to my website where I would want to show a forum list of all Cat related forums and subforums, but I wouldn't want to have the cat stuff shown on the dog side of the website.  Does that make more sense?  I don't understand why the Dropdown only says "Forums(en)" it doesn't have any of the Forums I have created populated in the forum Dropdown selector in the widget.

@wanderingrayven,

Ok, now it's clear, however there is no option to do that. This widget doesn't support selective displaying of forums on specific places. If you want to customize it you can request for quote fom the pro support team: https://wpforo.com/pro-support/#customization
