Hi,

What should I do with wp-login.php since it's not used when wpforo is active? The problem is that loads of bots is hitting it and I would like to get rid of it. I though wpforo would automatically deactivate it but I noticed it is still active.

Edit: ah, I see it redirects to wpforo login. But should I use something like WPS Hide Login and change the path of login/ so bots get a 404?

Hi @danniee,

How, I understand you want to use another login form, I'm right?

No, not at all. Bots are targeting and hitting the original login path of my site. I wonder if I should do something about it since they end up on the wpforo login form. Maybe install WPS Hide login to give them a 404 when they target that URL? I'm thinking maybe all those bots harms the performance of the site.

I know this Chris, I'm just curious to know if it makes a difference if bots land on a 404 instead of the wpforo login page?

How are you going to find out that's a bot or not,
