would seem it has transfered it twice into my database how would i go about removing it all and starting again ?

Hi @lvlasked,
Have you backup your DB before starting the migration? If so, just restore the database and start the migration again. It's already described in the migration tool. You should attentively read the instruction of each step.
If you don't have a backup just contact your hosting support they'll provide it for sure.
