I was just testing the AI Assistant on the wpdiscuz forums and noticed that it is not aware of its own capabilities for users. I asked it what AI features are available to me and it didn't know (see attached screenshot).
I would recommend that the assistant be aware of the AI features enabled for users on the forums because IMHO it's an easy way to help users understand what they can do, and it could provide self-help for them.

Hi @wendell ,
Thank you for the great suggestion. You're correct, currently the AI Chat Assistant answers questions based on your forum's indexed content (topics, posts, and discussions), so it doesn't have built-in awareness of wpForo's own feature set or UI capabilities.
There's a practical solution you can use right now: create a pinned topic or a dedicated FAQ topic in your forum that describes all the AI features available to your members (semantic search, translation, topic summaries, smart suggestions, etc.). Once this topic is indexed, the AI Assistant will pick it up and be able to answer questions about your forum's AI capabilities based on that content. This way, you can add as much self-awareness as you want, tailored specifically to your community.
The reason we don't include standard built-in self-awareness is that AI features are configured very differently on every forum. One forum might only have semantic search enabled, while another has all features turned on. If we added generic information about all AI capabilities, the assistant would give inaccurate answers on forums where certain features are disabled. By relying on your indexed content instead, the assistant stays correct and specific to exactly what your forum offers.
On top of that, we've just added AI feature permissions by usergroup, meaning different user groups will have access to different AI features. This makes general self-awareness even more problematic, because what's available to one user may not be available to another on the same forum. Your custom FAQ topic approach actually handles this perfectly, you can describe what each user group can access.
We've noted this as a feature request and will explore ways to make the assistant automatically aware of the currently enabled features in a future update. Thanks for the thoughtful feedback!
In case you want to say thank you !)
We'd really appreciate and be thankful if you leave a good review on plugin page. This is the best way to say thank you to this project and support team.
