[Closed] wpForo 1.0.1 is released!
We got many reports regarding to forum loading issue. Beta-6 to 1.0.0 update was missing Forum PageID. We just released 1.0.1 version which should fix this problem on most websites.
Also, wpForo 1.0.x versions use [wpforo] shortcode instead of [wpforo-index]. Id the update process doesn't replace it you should do this change manually in forum page content.
If after 1.0.1 update you still have the same problem, please make sure you've deleted all caches.
Then check if Forum page slug is identical with Forum Base URL (Forums > Settings > General Tab).
"Forum Base URL" is incorrect,
it has the wordpress installation path in it and I can't change it.
I tried updating the "wpforo_url" in the options table,
but it doesn't work
please send admin login details to support[at]gvectors.com email address, we'll check and fix this issue.
More when wpforo is activated;
I can not edit forum post.
I do not quote a little post
I do not just simply remove post
many function are unavailable ...
Could you please send admin login details to support[at]gvectors.com email address? We'll check and find the problem.
I-apparently solved my problem by disabling wpforo then activate it again ...
But it tells me that in the administration:
IMPORTANT: wpForo can not work with default permalink, please change permalink structure
And how I do it without risking having to redo all the links to my pages etc.?
wpForo doesn't support ?p=1 URL structure. I'm sorry but you can not use wpForo, until we add this function. But it'll be in 2.x versions.
?p=1 is not a SEO friendly URLs, you should not use this if you care about your website SEO rank. Yes, you'll loose all indexed pages in google, but the new indexed pages' SEO rank will be higher. Google will re-index your website within 7-10 days. There will not be 404 errors because WordPress automatically redirects ?=1 to according permalink.
You don't need to use 1.0.0. This is a simple misconfiguration issue. Just navigate to wpForo Settings page and make sure the forum base URL slug is identical with your forum page slug. Then check Forum Page ID and the ID diesplied on wpForo Settings Page.
Also navigate to Forums > Settings > Features and enable the option called "Enable Output Buffer".
Ready!... Whas the Page/forum ID 🙂 THX!
we'll fix this issue in next release.
