Let's kill some spam!Finally wpForo got built-in Spam Control and Filtering functions. They are under active development and the first version is already available with wpForo 1.2.0. IMPORTANT - SPAM File Attachments! Once wpForo is updated, please navigate to Dashboard > Forums > Tools admin page and check the "Possible Spam Attachments" section. We detected massive spam file uploading cases in non-protected forums. Spammers delete their topics and posts but uploaded spam files are still in your file system, most of those are PDF files. Please delete all suspected PDF files listed in this section. If you're not sure which file is spam, we recommend backup /wp-content/uploads/wpforo/ folder before starting to delete. Files are marked with different colors:Blue | Files with risky extensions (pdf, doc, etc...) (25% spam suspicion)Orange | Files with risky extensions and risky words in filename (50% spam suspicion)Red | Files with risky extensions and are not attached to any post (80% spam suspicion)Dark Red | Files with risky extensions, words in names and are not attached to any post (90% spam suspicion)Spam Control & Akismet You can see wpForo Spam Control options in screenshot above. wpForo 1.2.0 comes with Antispam Tools to control and protect your forum against spam as much as possible.Spam ControlNew Registered User ControlSpam Attachments ControlTopic & Post Moderation - Approve/UnapproveAkismet integration wpForo Spam Control will check new topics and posts of new registered users and set them Unapproved if spam is suspected. You also can activate Akismet and let them work together.If you want to manually moderate/approve all topics and posts you should uncheck/disable "Can pass moderation" permission in according Usergroup. Is there a way to flag a file as safe and/or to eliminate by a filter files of trusted members like admins and moderators?

We'll add new option in next release to Ignore suspected file attachments. I've already mentioned this here:
