[Closed] wpForo 2 Major Update is Imminent!

Hello, dear wpForo community members! We're very close to release the first beta version of wpForo 2. We apologize for this long delay. There were lots of interruptions, we didn't work for a long period because of three COVID waves and big holidays. wpForo 2 core is fully re-developed, so we created a brand-new forum plugin with improved same features plus lots of new ones. The beta version will be released for beta testers this month. If we got small amount of bugs, then the stable version will be released by the end of this month as well. What's new in wpForo 2 Multi-board system: Allows to create multiple separate forum boards in the same WordPress website. You can create fully separate forums in different pages, Multi-language forums: Using the multi-board system, you can create multiple separate forums for each language of your website. Each forum will have separate forum page, categories, forums and threads, but users will be the same for all forum boards. New Dashboard Settings: We've re-grouped and re-designed wpForo settings, now it's very easy to find the option you want, also you can search options using the live search field. So, managing of your forum has become very easy and fast. Module System: We've gathered many forum features and grouped them into modules. Now you can enable disable some group of features with you don't use and keep your forum light. New Forum Theme: The new version comes with new 2022 theme and with completely redesigned forum layouts and style. It brings modern and clean look for all 4 forum layouts (Extended, Simplified, Q&A and Threaded), New Member Profile System: wpForo 2 has more powerful member profile system with awesome design, so in most cases you won't need to use other profile builder plugins, Points Based User Reputation System: With the new version, you can set different points for likes, dislikes, new topics and posts. The user reputation will be based on number of points, User Following: This is a great feature if you want to follow all activities of certain users. Now all users will be able to follow other users and vice versa. You'll be able to see your followers and your followed users information in your profile page, Category Background: This makes your forum categories more attractive, and separates forum sections very well. Each category will start with a nice background header, and you'll be able to manage the category height, Topic Bookmark / Favored Profile Tab: Another great feature to mark your preferred topics and posts as favored and see them in your account new tab called [Favored]. In this tab, you'll also see liked and disliked topics and posts. Topic Overview: This is a small panel on the top of all topics, which provides lots of quick information about the topic. Different statistic information and a quick tree of the whole topic with discussion threads and nested replies in one place. This makes it very easy and fast to find the posts you need in the topic, And lots of more features to come very soon... Addons New version of all addons will be released to make them compatible with wpForo 2.0. If the license of your addons are not expired, you'll be able to get updates and install the new version of addons with the new wpForo forum. We're really sorry, but there was no way to make the old version of addons compatible with the new wpForo 2 version. As I said above, the plugin core is total changed, and it requires new functions to make addons working together. Once you installed the wpForo 2.0, all old addons will be automatically deactivated to avoid fatal errors. Once you updated the addon, you can activate them and use with wpForo 2. Thank you for your patience, I believe the time you've spent on waiting the new major version worth it.

Hello.

I do not want to push anyone or anything, so i have never asked questions like "when the new version will be out".

Still, since wpForo team announced that a beta will be released any day now and if all are ok, the final version will be out this month, and since we have 5 days until the end of this month ...

Is the beta going well? Do we have a final release in a few days?

It depends on the beta version. We are working hard to make the beta version with minimal bugs, that's why it has not been released a week ago. We do test lots of functions every day and fix them right now. Even if we didn't find new bugs we'll release the beta before the stable version. Almost all issues come from set of plugins and hosting services, these two things we cannot cover.
