where can I find this in plugin files?

You can customize wpForo template files using this instruction:

The area you're searching for is located in post.php template file of according layout folder. If you use the Extended Forum Layout, it's in this folder:
wp-content/plugins/wpforo/wpf-themes/classic/layouts/1/
