We are soon to launch a new municipal website that receives high traffic. We have wpforo installed.
I'd like to hire an administrator to look over our settings to make sure we have the forum locked up tight in order to prevent spam, etc. Could someone please contact me?
My advice to prevent spam and have some security use a firewall like wordfence or clean talk

You can install one by one and check by yourself.
wpForo also cares about spam posting and help a little in user registration protection with builtin reCAPTCHA. These are wpForo antispam solutions:
New Topic / Post Moderation
1. Option to keep topics and posts unapproved until an admin does not review and approved. If spam is suspected, new topics and posts will be set unapproved automatically and you'll be notified about new unapproved entry via email. You'll be able to approve them in Dashboard > Forums > Moderation admin page.
