| Hi, I have a website named mohanadeepanovels.com Normally The website looks like The attachment Rightscreenshot_1 I have been experiencing a strange issue for The past few days. I have not made any new installations or any changes.. Only The post in The website. No technical changes. The page is not loading properly for a lot of users. It shows up like The attachments from Screenshot_2 to Screenshot_7. Could not take a single shot. It works fine in mobile with mobile data connection. When I check The same using my tablet connected in my home wifi The page is not loading properly. So basically it works fine for some users and for others it does not. | Hi @ice . The 502 Bad Gateway error is an HTTP status code that means that one server on The internet received an invalid response from another server. Here's an article that explains it further and some suggestions on how you might fix it. "How to fix a 502 Bad Gateway error" I also see that error from time to time. The 504 Gateway error still crops up although nothing in relation to it is seen in debug.log. You should leave The site to work for a while. And Then check. Is you debug.log totally empty ? That is hard to believe. If your debug.log is actually empty, switch to default Theme and disable ALL plugins except wpForo. Check again for The 504 error. If The problem still persists, ask for help to your provider. | |||||

| Hello, I've been running wpforo on my wordpress website for over 6 months now; however I've noticed that one particular thread created within my forums often generates a 504 Gateway timeout error. Here is The thread. I've noticed that The Gateway timeout occurs primarily on attempting to access a specific post/page on The thread; The thread's main page loads normally although slower than usual. | I've purchased two AddOns so far, and as soon as The next version with The promised post preview is released I plan to purchase two more. I have a question regarding using AddOns on a Staging server. When I created The staging server my production server already had The two AddOns installed and licensed, and They worked properly on The staging server as well. However There have been updates to The AddOns since Then, and both of Them on The staging server now require me to input my license keys to update. The production server, of course, is fully updated. Obviously, I have The license keys but I am hesitant to enter Them on The staging server in case it somehow affects The operation of The production server. Is it safe to enter The license keys on The staging server? Or do I need to rebuild it from The current production server every time an AddOn is updated? If it makes any difference The AddOns I purchased are The wpForo Advanced Attachments and The wpForo Embeds. Thanks! | |||||

| Recently had an influx of spam posts and topics, around 3k, I deleted The user along with Their posts but The posts didn't delete and just say by anonymous now, when attempting to delete The whole board and start it again or when attempting to delete The posts I always get a 504 error, Gateway timeout, along with this The whole website takes ages to load now. | |||||

| Hi guys, Thank you very much for your prompt responses. My issue is solved now. I still do not know what went wrong. I will describe a bit The situation here for other people that might have a similar issue. As I said I use WPforo for more than a year now without any problem! But a few days ago, I got several emails from The monitoring of my website that it was going down and Then up again after a few minutes....and Then again down and up and so on... I first contacted my hosting provider asking Them to investigate The issue. After Their investigation, They told me that WPforo makes too many requests and The CPU load of The server hits The limit. I could also see it myself...whenever I was deactivating WPforo The server load was getting back to normal. I tried to deactivate The other plugins and activate WPforo alone to see if There is any conflict There without any luck.About a week ago I had updated my Theme, and since this was one of The last changes to The website I thought to downgrade to The previous version. But that didn't work either. Since I couldn't do anything else at that point I deactivated The forum completely for a few days until I find what's The issue and my hosting provider prompt me to contact The devs of The plugin which I did. Meanwhile, They said that They will implement The suggestions of this article: A few days later, when They finally implemented all The suggestions of The article above, I re-activated WPforo to test if There is any improvement. For a few minutes (3-4 mis) everything seemed to be fine...but Then The CPU load went all The way up again and The website went down...I had to rename WPforo's folder from my SFTP account to deactivate The plugin and bring The website back to life. But this time, when I deactivated The plugin The server load didn't go down! I renamed The whole plugins folder to deactivate all The plugins, but still nothing. I switched to The default WP Theme but no luck with this either. At this point, it was clear to me that There is sth else that was wrong. So I contacted The hosting provider once again explaining that The server load is stuck at 100% without any plugin activated and with The default Theme. After a while, They came back to me saying that There was a "service stuck on my website" and that They restarted that service and The server load was back to normal. I switched back to my Theme, and I started activating all The plugins one by one (I started with WPforo) and I was checking The website after each activation. I activated all The plugins and The website is up and running smoothly, as it used to, for more than 24hours now. It seems that whatever "service" was stuck now it's not..and The problem seems to be solved. I wish I could give more details but that's exactly how things happened for me.
