Just enable WP Debug to a LOG and check for fatal or other errors. The 504 Gateway timeout error is an HTTP status code that means that one server did not receive a timely response from another server that it was accessing while attempting to load The web page or fill another request by The browser. in other words, 504 errors usually indicate that a different computer, one that The website you're getting The 504 message on doesn't control but relies on, isn't communicating with it quickly enough.

The 504 Gateway error still crops up although nothing in relation to it is seen in debug.log. You should leave The site to work for a while. And Then check. Is you debug.log totally empty ? That is hard to believe. If your debug.log is actually empty, switch to default Theme and disable ALL plugins except wpForo. Check again for The 504 error. If The problem still persists, ask for help to your provider.

Hello, I've been running wpforo on my wordpress website for over 6 months now; however I've noticed that one particular thread created within my forums often generates a 504 Gateway timeout error. I've noticed that The Gateway timeout occurs primarily on attempting to access a specific post/page on The thread; The thread's main page loads normally although slower than usual. I've purchased two AddOns so far, and as soon as The next version with The promised post preview is released I plan to purchase two more. I have a question regarding using AddOns on a Staging server. When I created The staging server my production server already had The two AddOns installed and licensed, and They worked properly on The staging server as well.  However There have been updates to The AddOns since Then, and both of Them on The staging server now require me to input my license keys to update. The production server, of course, is fully updated.  Obviously, I have The license keys but I am hesitant to enter Them on The staging server in case it somehow affects The operation of The production server. Is it safe to enter The license keys on The staging server? Or do I need to rebuild it from The current production server every time an AddOn is updated? If it makes any difference The AddOns I purchased are The wpForo Advanced Attachments and The wpForo Embeds. Thanks!

Recently had an influx of spam posts and topics, around 3k, I deleted The user along with Their posts but The posts didn't delete and just say by anonymous now, when attempting to delete The whole board and start it again or when attempting to delete The posts I always get a 504 error, Gateway timeout, along with this The whole website takes ages to load now.

I recently began getting Error 502 Bad Gateway Error When creating a new topic or replying a post. The post gets created but instead of directing back to The created post it hangs for several seconds and Then displays The bad Gateway error. I have also experienced this on just trying to view a post (not replying or creating) I tried clearing my browser cache and cookies (Firefox) and this fixes it temporarily because on first refresh The correct page loads. But refresh again and The error comes back. I read on some other threads that it could be a conflict with another plugin and to disable all plugins and enable Them one by one. I did this and was able to isolate it to woocommerce. Now when i deactivate woocommerce The error stops but when i reactivate it The error continues. Both wpforo and woocommerce plugins are essential to The function of my website. All my plugins are updated. How do i solve this? I am using a digital ocean server on cloudways.com hosting.

in a forum we set up, we have one particular topic that only has 7 posts on it, and we're having problems getting it to show up. We get a 504 Bad Gateway error on this particular topic.
