Hi,

I have a working WpForo 2.2.3 installed. I don't have any caching plugins.

I have WordPress 6.4 running.

I have a working forum. I can post a new topic. I can attach and upload an attachment both with

With media I can see it appear in the media section or with it  I can see it appear in the folder on the server:

wp-content/uploads/wpforo/default_attachments

I get a link but an attempt to download the attachment by clicking on it results in a 404 error.

Any ideas why this could be happening ? I have permlinks enabled correctly - I tried flushing links, deleting all caches and deleting, recreating a post, uploading attachment, no download.

https://#########:777/forum/manual/manual/777/wp-content/uploads/wpforo/default_attachments/1699485256-Manual_G.docx

The forum with the manual post is:

https://#########:777/forum/manual/manual/#post-9

This is done using the administrator account for wpforo - and just downloading with the administrator account also fails.

I can download the file directly from media - using it's permalink. Just no joy via the forum post.

Any help is much appreciated.

Hi @precious_pangolin,

Could you please remove the :777 port from the forum URL and test it again? wpForo is not tested on the websites with domain:xxxx port URLs.

Also, please leave a direct link where we can find a post with an attached file.
