1. I see a small CSS conflict with active theme or other plugins. Please see the screenshot below.

To solve the issue, just navigate to Dashboard > Forums > Settings > Styles admin page, put the following CSS code in "Custom CSS Code" textarea, save it, delete all caches and check again. Press CTRL+F5 (twice) on the forum frontend.

2. Regarding the issue you've mentioned, we've checked and don't find such issue. Could you please describe more in details the issue and when exactly you've faced with the issue?
We've created the following two topics (The topics are private you should log-in to see those topics).

If I deactivate the forum plugin then if the news is seen, that's why I say that it is a matter of the forum plugin.
