Hello

In the "Add topic screen" the button "save" is displayed as "add a new topic" (rajouter un sujet in french) which is confusing for new comers. I don't know how to change this button to "save". The pages translations are used in my case.

WPforo version is 2.4.6. When pushed the action performed is a "save".

Thanks for your help
Jacques

Hi,

We’re not sure we understand you correctly. If you see “Add Topic” on the topic submission screen, this is the expected behavior. You can check this forum—it works the same way.

Hello?
Thanks for your reply. Yes it's exactly a translation problem. Because the way it translates in French is "~create a new topic" and the way it should be is "Save what you just created). In my mind (and not only mine several people were caught), the process to add a new topic should be:

In the forum you selected to create a new topic:

  • Add a new topic
  • type your topic title ans text
  • "Save" what you created, instead of "add a new topic"

Anyway to have this behavior ?

Thanks for your help.
Jacques

@sofy
Thank you for your reply. In fact the problem is that the same topic ID (15) is used in both places.

When I want to create a topic, this ID (15) is used (should be 771=add new topic) and when I want to save the topic, it's the same topic ID (15).

So the current workaround, I currently use, is to have the two meanings displayed.
Thanks

Jacques

This behavior is by design. However, I’ve asked the team if there is an easy solution for your case. I’ll update this topic as soon as I receive a response from them.
