What are the benefits of enable/disable members cache?

Can we have semi technical information?

Once you've introduced the propitiatory cache in release 1.3.o I disabled the /community/ from wp super cache [to avoid double caching] and  enabled all the built-in wpForo caches.

However, we have no control over the refresh timing and the flush/clean dirty buffers as available in most cache addons.

Do you refresh the cache every time a member post a topic or reply?

Thank you

You don't need to control it. We know about that and it's being done automatically on all actions. It cleans according cache on each action even on post liking. How can we add a cache system without this? This is the second important step of each cache process. Caching + Cleaning is two important processes which work very active with each forum changes. You should not worry about that and you should not clean cache after adding/editing topics, posts, forums and after other small actions...

In any case if you got some issue with cache you can delete it in Dashboard > Forums > Dashboard admin page using [Delete all caches] button.

Member cache is just a copy of members objects in usermeta table, it's not a part of the cache system we added in 1.3.0. It's just a helper to member functions. It makes those lighter and doesn't allow to connect to DB many time.
